VENUE & PARTY GUIDELINES
Customers are welcome to bring their own decorations for private parties. However, we ask that decorations are kept appropriate for the studio environment. Balloons, particularly those likely to pop, should be used with consideration for other customers. Please do not use confetti, glitter or anything that may be difficult to clean up.
For parties, outside food arrangements should be agreed with Happy Potter Ceramics in advance and are only allowed during out of hours bookings. We provide a selection of party refreshments, and any additional food brought into the studio must be discussed beforehand.
We ask all guests to be respectful of our staff, other customers, pottery, furniture and studio equipment. Happy Potter Ceramics reserves the right to ask anyone behaving in an unsafe or disruptive manner to leave the premises.

BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a birthday party booking around 1 month before. The remaining balance must be paid on the day.
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always do our best to accommodate changes, subject to availability and our cancellation policy.
Where sufficient notice is given, we may be able to offer an alternative date. Deposits are generally non-refundable, but may be transferable in accordance with the agreed booking terms.
Please arrive promptly for your session, as late arrivals may reduce the time available for painting.

POTTERY PAINTING & FIRING PROCESS
All pottery painted at Happy Potter Ceramics must be left with us to be glazed and kiln-fired. This process transforms the pottery into a finished piece and makes it suitable for its intended use, depending on the item and firing outcome.
Please note that pottery painting is a handmade process. Small variations in colour, texture, finish and appearance may occur. Glazes can behave differently during firing, and the finished result may not look exactly as expected.
While we take great care throughout the glazing and firing process, we cannot guarantee that every finished piece will be completely free from minor imperfections.

IMPERFECTIONS, DAMAGE & LIABILITY POLICY
During the pottery painting, glazing, firing and handling process, occasional imperfections may occur. These can include minor bumps, pinholes, bubbles, glaze variations, colour differences or other small surface characteristics.
These are sometimes natural outcomes of the ceramic process and do not necessarily indicate that an item is faulty.
We take great care with every piece of pottery entrusted to us. However, on rare occasions, pottery may crack, break, become damaged or be lost during glazing, firing, cooling or handling.
If an item is damaged or lost while in our care, we will assess the circumstances and discuss an appropriate resolution with the customer. This may include, where appropriate, a replacement item, an opportunity to repaint, a studio credit or a refund.
Any resolution will depend on the circumstances and the nature of the issue. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

COLLECTION OF FINISHED POTTERY
We will give customers a date for when their pottery is ready for collection. Please allow approximately 1–2 weeks for pottery to be completed, although this may vary depending on studio workload, kiln schedules and other circumstances.
Clay handprints, footprints and similar keepsakes may require additional processing time.
Please collect your pottery within a reasonable period of up to 1 month after your collection date. If you are unable to collect your items, please contact us to make alternative arrangements.
Happy Potter Ceramics cannot guarantee collection dates where delays arise from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY & SAFETY
Customers are responsible for supervising children in their care throughout their visit, unless a specific supervised session or drop-off arrangement has been agreed with Happy Potter Ceramics.
Pottery, paints, tools and studio equipment must be used appropriately and in accordance with staff instructions.
Please take care when handling pottery, particularly pieces that may have sharp edges or that have been damaged.
Happy Potter Ceramics accepts no responsibility for personal belongings that are lost, stolen or damaged on the premises, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

THANK YOU!
Thank you for choosing Happy Potter Ceramics. We want everyone to have a lovely, creative and memorable experience with us. Our team takes great pride in looking after your pottery, and we appreciate your understanding of the unique nature of the ceramic process.
